This Privacy Policy describes how Perfect Partner ("the App"), published by Bradley Gruner / PsychogenX ("we," "us"), collects, uses, and protects your information. Perfect Partner is a relationship decision-support app available for Android devices.
Summary: We collect only what the App needs to function — your account credentials and the evaluation data you choose to enter. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and AI processing happens through our own secured servers.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials. Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication, a service provided by Google LLC.
Content you provide. The App stores the information you voluntarily enter, including partner evaluation responses, ratings, notes, and reflection entries. This content is associated with your account so it can sync and persist across sessions.
Usage and diagnostic data. Firebase services may automatically collect limited technical data (such as device type, app version, and crash logs) used to keep the App reliable and secure.
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, or browsing history. We do not collect any information about the people you evaluate beyond what you choose to type into the App.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide the App's core features (partner evaluations, AI-generated conversation starters, and reflection prompts), to authenticate your account and sync your data across sessions, to maintain security including per-user rate limiting, and to diagnose and fix technical problems.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
3. AI Features and Third-Party Processing
Perfect Partner uses artificial intelligence to generate conversation starters, reflection prompts, and chat responses. When you use these features, relevant portions of your evaluation data are sent to our secure server functions (Firebase Cloud Functions), which then send that content to OpenAI's API for processing. Your requests are authenticated and rate-limited on our servers; your device never communicates with OpenAI directly, and no API credentials are stored in the App.
Content sent to OpenAI is subject to OpenAI's API data usage policies. Per OpenAI's standard API terms, API data is not used to train their models.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored using Google Firebase infrastructure, protected by industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. Access to your evaluation data requires authentication with your account credentials. AI API keys and other secrets are kept server-side and are never embedded in the App.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete individual evaluations within the App at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at drgruner@psychogenx.com and we will complete the deletion within 30 days.
6. Children's Privacy
Perfect Partner is intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a minor, we will delete it promptly.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below. We will respond to all legitimate requests within 30 days.
8. Sensitive Information — A Note
The App is designed for personal reflection about relationships. The evaluations and notes you write may feel personal and sensitive to you. We treat all user content with the same protections described above, and we encourage you not to include information you would not want stored in a cloud service (for example, another person's full identifying details).
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date on this page, and where appropriate, notice within the App.
