Type Me is an AI-powered, person-centered platform designed to help autistic and other neurodivergent individuals communicate who they are, how they experience the world, and what supports help them thrive. The app is grounded in contemporary research from psychology, autism science, education, communication, behavioral science, human-computer interaction, and AI ethics. Rather than replacing clinical judgment, Type Me is intended to organize observations, facilitate communication across settings, preserve important information over time, and support collaborative decision-making.

This research library highlights representative peer-reviewed literature and professional resources that informed the conceptual development of Type Me. The sources below are organized by theme, and each citation reflects an area of research that shaped the app's design, while recognizing that the effectiveness of the Type Me platform itself remains to be established through future empirical evaluation.
