This Privacy Policy describes how Bradley Gruner, operating under the PsychogenX name (“PsychogenX,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, processes, discloses, retains, and protects information through the Feeling Efficient mobile application and related services (collectively, the “App”).
Feeling Efficient is a self-reflection tool that helps you organize your thoughts during emotionally challenging moments. It is not psychological treatment, diagnosis, crisis care, or a substitute for individualized professional advice.
Feeling Efficient is still in development. Some technical details below — such as the specific cloud storage and AI service providers used — may change before launch. This policy will be updated to reflect the App as actually deployed.
1. Summary
- The App collects account information and the reflections, notes, and other content you choose to enter.
- App data is expected to be stored using a secure cloud database service; the specific provider will be confirmed before launch.
- AI-assisted features, when enabled, route requests through secured server-side functions rather than directly from the App to a third-party AI provider.
- PsychogenX does not sell your personal information.
- PsychogenX does not use App content for cross-context behavioral advertising.
2. Information We Collect
Account information
When you create or use an account, we may collect your email address, an account identifier, authentication information, account-creation date, and related account-status information.
PsychogenX does not receive your ordinary account password in readable form. Authentication credentials are handled through the applicable authentication system.
Reflection content
We collect the information you choose to enter into the App, which may include:
- written or voice-transcribed reflections and journal entries;
- topics, labels, or tags you assign to organize your reflections;
- notes, reminders, questions, and personal observations you save;
- AI prompts assembled from information you submit; and
- AI-generated questions, summaries, or other responses.
This content may include sensitive or private information about you, and may occasionally reference other people (for example, if you write about a relationship or a difficult conversation). We do not independently obtain information about anyone mentioned in your reflections — we only store what you choose to enter.
Technical and diagnostic information
The App and its service providers may collect limited technical information needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service, such as device type, operating-system version, App version, Internet Protocol address and approximate region, authentication and server-request records, crash and performance diagnostics, and information used to detect misuse or security threats.
The exact diagnostic information collected may depend on which technical services are enabled in the deployed version of the App.
3. How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- create, authenticate, maintain, and secure your account;
- store, display, update, and delete your reflections;
- generate requested AI-assisted prompts and summaries;
- operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the App;
- respond to support, privacy, and account requests;
- detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents;
- enforce applicable terms and protect legal rights; and
- comply with applicable law and legal process.
We do not use App content to diagnose you, assess your mental health, or make an automated decision that produces a legal or similarly significant effect.
4. AI Processing
When you use an AI-assisted feature, information relevant to that request is sent from the App to secured server-side functions operated for PsychogenX, which forward the request to a third-party AI service provider and return the generated response to the App. AI API credentials and other secrets are kept server-side and are not intentionally embedded in the App.
We do not intentionally permit an AI service provider to use your reflections to train its underlying models outside the ordinary processing needed to generate your requested response, consistent with the provider’s standard API terms in effect at the time.
AI-generated content may be incomplete, inaccurate, generic, or inappropriate for your circumstances. Treat it as a prompt for your own thinking, not as a diagnosis, professional judgment, or instruction.
5. Service Providers and Disclosures
We may disclose information to service providers that process information on our behalf or provide infrastructure necessary to operate the App, such as cloud hosting and database providers, authentication providers, AI service providers, and communications providers. These providers may process information only as necessary to provide their services, comply with law, or protect their systems and rights under their applicable agreements.
We may also disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, or governmental request, or is reasonably necessary to investigate fraud or misuse, secure the App, enforce applicable terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of PsychogenX, users, or others. Information may also be transferred as part of a merger, reorganization, financing, succession, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law and appropriate confidentiality protections.
6. Sale and Advertising
PsychogenX does not sell personal information collected through Feeling Efficient for monetary consideration, and does not use reflection content for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Nevada residents may submit a verified request directing PsychogenX not to make a future sale of covered information, as “sale” is defined under applicable Nevada law, by emailing drgruner@psychogenx.com .
7. Storage and Security
Account and reflection data are stored using a cloud database service. Data is protected using safeguards that may include encrypted transmission, encryption at rest provided by the service provider, authentication, server-side management of API credentials, access controls, and security monitoring.
Your reflections are private to your authenticated account and are not publicly visible through ordinary App functionality. No application, storage system, or security measure can guarantee complete protection — you should use a strong and unique account password, keep your device secure, and install security updates.
8. Retention and Deletion
We retain account and reflection information while your account remains active and as reasonably necessary to operate the App, fulfill requests, secure the service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with applicable law.
You may delete individual reflections using available App controls. Deleting a reflection removes it from active user-facing storage, but limited copies may remain temporarily in system logs, caches, or backups until overwritten through ordinary technical processes.
To request deletion of your account, email drgruner@psychogenx.com . When an in-App account-deletion control is available, you may also use that control. After verifying a deletion request, we will delete or de-identify personal information associated with the account from active PsychogenX-controlled systems within a commercially reasonable time, except for information that must or may lawfully be retained for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.
Residual copies may remain temporarily in encrypted backups, security logs, or service-provider systems and will be removed or overwritten under the applicable backup, log, and provider retention cycles then in effect.
9. Privacy Requests
Depending on applicable law and the nature of our relationship with you, you may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of personal information associated with your account. Submit a request to drgruner@psychogenx.com . We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity and authority before acting on a request, and we aim to respond to a verified request within 30 days unless a different period is required by applicable law.
10. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 without legally required authorization.
If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information through the App, contact drgruner@psychogenx.com so we can review and, when appropriate, delete it.
11. Reflecting About Other People
If your reflections mention another person, please avoid unnecessary identifying details and record only what you have a legitimate reason to keep. Do not use the App to store unlawfully obtained information about another person or to facilitate stalking or harassment.
Feeling Efficient does not assess whether a relationship, decision, or situation is safe. When safety may be at risk, prioritize direct assistance from an appropriate local professional, emergency service, or specialized support organization.
12. International Use
PsychogenX is operated in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate. Privacy and data-protection laws may differ from those in your place of residence. The App is not presently represented as being specifically designed to satisfy the privacy requirements of every country or jurisdiction.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the App, service providers, data practices, or applicable requirements change — including once the App’s storage and AI providers are finalized for launch. We will post the revised policy with an updated date and, when appropriate, provide additional notice within the App or through account communications.
